May God not make anyone go to war with the Turks

The issue of the US withdrawing from NATO and assisting Israel in an attack on Turkey has been debated for days.

This situation reminds me of the 1919 Paris Peace Conference, where Britain and the US unleashed the Greeks upon the Turks.

By 1914, before the First World War, Britain was under a heavy debt burden, and the Great War was planned to eliminate the rising Germany. France would attack from the west, Russia from the east, and Germany would be destroyed. Britain won the war, but it was a Pyrrhic victory. In the end, the empire was exhausted, its finances went bankrupt, and it entered a long process of dissolution. Thus, the rising hegemon, the US, filled the resulting vacuum.

Despite this, London used Greece as a proxy in 1919 and drove it into Anatolia. However, under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Turkish nation thwarted this game. The victories on the field, first at Sakarya and then at Dumlupınar, were transformed into political results with the Mudanya Armistice and subsequently the Treaty of Lausanne, and the Greeks and the British were uprooted and expelled from Anatolia.

Today, 107 years later, we are at a similar stage of the same historical trajectory. The US, crushed under a debt burden, cannot stop the rise of China and is acting like a proxy for Israel. This duo has failed to achieve any of its political objectives against Iran in a process exceeding 40 days. They have even lost control of the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab-el-Mandeb.

The picture we see on the ground has hit rock bottom even further after the latest scandalous rescue operation. The US and Israel essentially have only air-based firepower at their disposal, but this power alone is not enough to produce either military or political results. Civilians are constantly dying.

Today, a similar scenario is being discussed. The new target of Israel is Turkey, and the debate continues that the US will withdraw from NATO to help Israel.

The US does not need to withdraw from NATO to avoid implementing Article 5 of the NATO Treaty in an Israel-Turkey conflict or to attack Turkey alongside Israel. The US can already do this as it wishes, and it is already doing so. Especially in the Trump era, doing this is much easier. Would a country that attacks a nation it is in diplomatic talks with abide by the NATO Treaty?

Many institutions and individuals in Turkey continue to ignore the reality of NATO and the US. The US and Israel can only do the following in Turkey: They can disrupt our economic balance,

They can interfere in politics, set up conspiracies, and in the final analysis, rain down aerial firepower in a war.

However, the losses they would ultimately incur would be very, very great. After such a process, Turkey would take its place much more firmly in the geopolitical perspective of the newly forming world.

In short, 100 years ago, the collapsing British Empire tried to achieve results in Anatolia by using Greece and failed. Today, the US is following a similar strategy through Israel. These two pictures overlap in many respects, and they will overlap most of all in their consequences. At that time, Britain declined and was replaced by the US. Today, the US is declining, China continues to rise, and Russia and Iran are showing resistance. The US and Israel, meanwhile, are stuck on a line that cannot achieve results on the ground and strikes largely from the air, only accelerating their own collapse.

Let us make a reminder.

In history, the greatest nation capable of slapping Anglo-Saxon hegemony has been the Turks.

From Gallipoli to Kut al-Amara, from the War of Independence to Lausanne, we defeated them even when we were in poverty.

As long as we are decent internally, stay united, and follow the path of Mustafa Kemal.
