İLKER AYRIK HOSTED THE EVENING
The 82nd birthday of Savaş Dinçel, who passed away in 2007 and was a mentor to many actors including Şevket Çoruh, was celebrated in the Savaş Dinçel Hall of Baba Sahne, which Çoruh established with great effort and his own investment.
The evening, which also marked the 7th anniversary of the founding of Baba Sahne, was hosted by İlker Ayrık, another of Dinçel's former students.

Savaş Dinçel's former students, led by Şevket Çoruh, and their children—considered his grandchildren—came together on stage once again this year.
As they do every year, the master actor's students sang the song "An Artist Is Never a Bear" (Bir Sanatkâr Asla Ayı Değildir), which Savaş Dinçel performed in the play "The Cunning Wife of the Silly Husband" (Sersem Kocanın Kurnaz Karısı) and for which he wrote the lyrics, before cutting a birthday cake.
Emotional moments were shared during the screening of a video prepared especially for Dinçel, and the award ceremony began following a speech by Şevket Çoruh.
