Güliz Kucur, who worked as a screenwriter on beloved Turkish television productions, has passed away at the age of 61.
The news of Kucur's death was met with sadness in the art world and among those close to her.
Throughout her career, Kucur was part of the writing teams for series that reached wide audiences, such as ‘Süper Baba’, ‘Aynalı Tahir’, ‘Deli Yürek’, ‘İkinci Bahar’, ‘Yabancı Damat’, and ‘Aliye’.
In a condolence message published following Kucur's death, the FilmSan Foundation stated, “We wish God's mercy upon screenwriter Güliz Kucur and extend our condolences to her family and loved ones.”
Güliz Kucur's funeral will be held on Saturday, November 7, following the noon prayer at Hacı Sarıgül Mosque. Following the ceremony, Kucur will be laid to rest at the Bahçeköy Cemetery.
