A new detail has emerged in the investigation into the armed attack in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar, in which 8 people lost their lives. It has been learned that the suspect of the attack, Arif Sefa Ö., had applied to the police months before the incident, alleging that his vehicle had been damaged.
According to the information obtained, Arif Sefa Ö. reported that his car with license plate 03 ADR 900, which was parked in front of his house in the Hasan Karaağaç neighborhood in the city center of Afyonkarahisar, was attacked by an unidentified person or persons during the night on March 17, 2026.

It was stated that the suspect, who requested help from police teams following the application, filed a complaint by claiming that his car had sustained heavy damage and had become unusable.
Arif Sefa Ö., who is accused of killing 8 people with a pump-action shotgun in consecutive attacks in İhsaniye, was caught in Eskişehir, where he had fled after the incident. The investigation is looking into whether there is a connection between the suspect's past feuds and the alleged vehicle attack in March.

It has been noted that judicial authorities are evaluating in a multifaceted manner whether the complaint in question is a detail that could shed light on the origin of the murders.
