İYİ Party Trabzon Deputy Yavuz Aydın made notable assessments regarding the field research they conducted in Trabzon. Aydın claimed that in the studies carried out through face-to-face interviews, the AKP has lost approximately 15 points compared to the 2023 general elections.
Speaking to 61Saat, Aydın stated that the research was not limited to specific regions of the city and that the eastern and western districts were evaluated proportionally. "We want to see the real picture. In the study we conducted, we see that the AK Party has lost approximately 15 points according to the 2023 election results," he said.
Speaking about the İYİ Party's vote share in Trabzon, Aydın argued that their party is on the rise. Stating that a new study is also underway, Aydın said, "As the İYİ Party, we see ourselves above 15 percent in Trabzon. I am not saying the İYİ Party is the first party, nor am I saying it is the second. However, I am saying that we are the third party."
The İYİ Party received 12.09 percent of the vote in Trabzon in the May 14, 2023, general elections. Aydın suggested that the distribution of parliamentary seats in the city could change in the upcoming general elections.
Aydın claimed that there were individuals within the AKP who did not want to be candidates in the fourth spot during the 2023 elections, and he asserted that the race in the next election would intensify for the first two spots. Arguing that a parliamentary seat distribution of "two, two, two" could emerge in Trabzon, Aydın said he expects a serious race for the second spot on the İYİ Party list as well.
