One of the paintings created by Bob Ross, who is known worldwide for his calm narration, distinctive hair, and the nature landscapes he produced on television in a matter of minutes, is back in the spotlight. The work titled "Mountain Splendor," which Ross completed on his program "The Joy of Painting" in 1986, will be auctioned in Munich, Germany, on December 5.
An estimated value between 40,000 and 60,000 euros has been set for the painting, which will be offered for sale by the Ketterer Kunst auction house. However, the fact that some of the artist's previous works that went to auction fetched prices above expectations is also increasing interest in this painting.

AUCTION ON DECEMBER 5
"Mountain Splendor" appeared in the eighth episode of the seventh season of Bob Ross's program. The painting, measuring 45.6 x 60.7 centimeters, features a calm nature landscape with a lake stretching in front of mountains, trees, and autumn tones. It is stated that the work was completed by Ross in front of the cameras in approximately 27 minutes.
The auction is planned to be held as part of the "Day Sale." While the work is expected to be auctioned at approximately 16:20, it was reported that the sale will be broadcast live online and that collectors will be able to bid online or by phone.
The painting is being offered for sale by American Public Television. It was reported that the net proceeds from the auction will be used to support public television broadcasting in the US.
It is estimated that Bob Ross, who passed away in 1995 at the age of 52, created more than 30,000 paintings throughout his life. Despite the years that have passed, Ross's programs continue to reach new audiences in many countries, including Turkey. The Bob Ross and The Joy of Painting YouTube channel has approximately 6.6 million followers.
Works that Ross created for television continue to attract the interest of collectors. The artist's 1990 television painting titled "Change of Seasons" was previously sold for 787,900 dollars.
