Tourist Black Diamond Express sets off on promotional tour
The Black Diamond Express, which will begin its first voyages on April 12 to promote tourism under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has set off on its Western Black Sea tourist train promotional tour. Departing from Ankara, the Black Diamond Express will reach Zonguldak by stopping at the Kalecik, Çankırı, Çerkeş, and Karabük stations, respectively. On its return journey, the Black Diamond Express will stop in Yenice and Eskipazar, with its final destination being Ankara.
“IT WILL BEGIN ITS FIRST VOYAGE ON APRIL 12”
In Kalecik, the first stop of the Black Diamond Express, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan, Ankara Deputy Zeynep Yıldız, and other participants were welcomed by a local folk dance troupe. Stating that the Black Diamond Express will be offered to the service of all citizens following the Eastern Express, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Alpaslan said, “It will begin its first voyage on April 12. Through this, it will be a wonderful weekend program for our people from Ankara to Zonguldak. We are in Kalecik, our first stop. We will see the beauties of Kalecik all together.”
“WE AIM TO CREATE VITALITY IN TOURISM”
Emphasizing that the Western Black Sea has extraordinary wealth, Alpaslan stated, “We aim for all our citizens, especially those from Ankara, to visit the region via the express and for it to become a center of attraction for tourism. As you know, our country is already a shining star in tourism. With this potential, we aim for people to travel in the Western Black Sea, for them to move away from the shopping culture in Ankara to see the region, nature, and the riches here, and to create vitality in tourism,” he said.
Along the route where Turkey’s industrialization journey can also be observed, visitors will be able to explore Kalecik, which stands out with its vineyards and gastronomy; Çankırı, with its history-scented streets, fascinating salt cave, and impressive museums; and Çerkeş, with its calm and peaceful atmosphere surrounded by natural beauty.
The Hadrianapolis Ancient City, adorned with mosaics and a center of faith in the ancient era; the UNESCO Cultural Heritage City of Safranbolu; Yenice, which possesses Turkey’s largest block forests; as well as the Gökgöl Cave, Zonguldak Mining Museum and Coal Experience Mine, and the National Zonguldak Coal Geopark can also be visited as part of the tour. Through the train tour, 4 cities, 5 districts, caves, museums, archaeological sites, natural areas, cultural assets, and industrial and geological heritage elements can be seen.
