690 lira fine issued to truck that failed to yield to ambulance
In the Cumayeri district of Düzce, a truck that failed to yield to an ambulance transporting injured people to the hospital following an accident where a minibus carrying hazelnut workers plunged into a ditch was fined 690 lira. The incident was recorded on a mobile phone camera, and the Düzce Provincial Police Department intervened.
In the Harmantepe area of Düzce's Cumayeri district, a minibus carrying hazelnut workers plunged into a ditch, leaving 22 people injured, 3 of them seriously. While the injured were being transported to Düzce State Hospital by ambulance, a truck on the D-100 Highway failed to yield to the ambulance for minutes.

While those moments were recorded second by second on a mobile phone camera, teams from the Düzce Provincial Police Department took action after the footage spread on social media. Upon checking the vehicle's license plate, they determined that the vehicle was being driven by Ş.A. and imposed a 690 lira fine on the vehicle under the relevant articles of the highway traffic code.
