8-year-old child killed by his father in Mersin laid to rest beside his mother
The 8-year-old child, who was killed by his father in Mersin, was laid to rest amidst tears in the same cemetery where his mother was also buried.
According to the information obtained, Leyla Ç. (50) went to clean the house they had recently purchased in Arpaçsakarlar Neighborhood, located in the central Toroslar district, the day before yesterday.
"HE KILLED HIS WIFE DURING AN ARGUMENT"

A short while later, the woman's husband, Zafer Ç. (46), also went to join his wife. An argument broke out between the couple for reasons yet unknown. During the argument, Leyla Ç. was shot in the head and killed by her husband, Zafer Ç., on the street in front of the building.
"HE TOOK THE CHILD AND FLED THE SCENE"
The murder suspect husband had fled the scene, taking his 8-year-old son, M.Ç., with him. The funeral of the murdered woman had been laid to rest in Güneykent Cemetery following an autopsy at the Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

While police teams continued their efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect, it was revealed that he had also killed his 8-year-old son, M.Ç., whom he had taken with him, and attempted suicide yesterday.
"HE SHOT HIS CHILD AND ATTEMPTED SUICIDE"
Upon receiving a report, police teams went to the area where a hotel is located in the rural part of Iğdır Neighborhood and determined that the 8-year-old child had been shot in the head with a handgun and killed, and that the suspect, Zafer Ç., had attempted suicide by shooting himself in the chest with the same weapon.
"LAID TO REST BESIDE HIS MOTHER"
He was laid to rest in the cemetery where his mother was buried.

The funeral of 8-year-old M.Ç., which was retrieved from the morgue by his relatives today, was first brought to the Medine Mosque in the Mevlana Neighborhood of the Toroslar district.
Following the funeral prayer held there, M.Ç. was laid to rest in the Güneykent Cemetery in the Toroslar district, where his mother was also buried. His relatives, unable to hold back their tears, also visited the grave of his mother, Leyla Ç., who was killed the day before yesterday, after burying the child.
