An AKP female member's remark to a CHP female council member, "Where is your husband?", caused tension.

IMM Deputy Speaker Nuri Aslan reacted sharply, saying, "It is shameful, it is immoral. Who are you?"

IMM Deputy Speaker Nuri Aslan said, "It is shameful, it is immoral.

IMM Deputy Speaker Nuri Aslan stated the following:

- "Valuable council members. We all have families. God Almighty makes His servants rich or poor. He makes them fall or rise.

- Mocking someone's situation, making fun of them, trying to belittle someone, or asking 'Where is your spouse, where is your husband?' does not suit a human being.

- It is shameful, it is immoral. What do you mean 'Where is your husband?' Who are you to ask such a question?"

Apologizing on behalf of all women, Aslan said, "I do not find it ethical or right for one woman to speak to another woman in this way in the year 2026; as the IMM Deputy Speaker, I apologize to all women. People must have respect for one another."
