The trial regarding the 'deprivation of liberty' crime that occurred in the Buldan district of Denizli in 2015 has concluded. Three of the suspects, for whom the court had issued arrest warrants, were detained by the gendarmerie in the district's Yenicekent neighborhood, while one suspect was detained by police teams in the district center.
Following their statements, Metin Çallı, H.A., A.K., and B.K. were arrested and sent to prison. It was revealed that the arrested Çallı was the 4th-place municipal council member candidate for the AKP in the local elections to be held on March 31.
It is alleged that the 4 people arrested as part of the investigation forcibly detained and assaulted a theft suspect they had caught in the act in 2015.
