AKP official who assaulted a woman at a concert released!

A scandalous incident occurred at the Kaman Walnut Culture and Art Festival held in Kaman, Kırşehir. 25-year-old Fatma Banu Çoban got into an argument with AKP Keskin Youth Branch President Melih Ünlüer over seating in the concert area. Following the argument, Ünlüer punched Çoban, breaking her nose. Çoban, who was taken to the hospital after the incident, underwent surgery at Kırşehir Training and Research Hospital and was discharged two days later. Ünlüer, on the other hand, was released after being detained. Speaking through tears after the attack, Çoban shared the details of the incident. Information also emerged that Ünlüer had been dismissed from his post. This incident has once again made violence against women a subject of debate.

"HE PUNCHED ME, I FELL TO THE GROUND"

Describing the incident she experienced after her surgery, Fatma Banu Çoban recounted what happened with these words: 

"His wife, who was with him, made remarks like, 'This is our spot, how can you pass through here?' I told her that this area was empty. The gentleman's arm touched me a few times. I warned him. He didn't even pay attention or respond.

Because another young man accidentally touched his wife, he warned the young man in a threatening manner, saying, 'How can you touch my wife?' and took out a card to show him. Later, he started talking to me about the seating in an inappropriate manner.

I then warned the person I later learned was his wife, saying, 'Could you tell your boyfriend to speak to us more appropriately?' The woman then grabbed me by the collar, saying, 'How can you talk to me like that?'

I was just about to say, 'What are you doing?' when her husband, Melih Ünlüer, punched me and I fell to the ground. The punch hit the right side of my face. The punch was the size of my face. Because he was quite a bulky person.

Then I stood up. My friend next to me said, 'Sister, your face.' I didn't understand at first, but when I touched my face, it was covered in blood. No one from the surroundings came to help. There was quite a bit of pushing and shoving. Because the woman was coming at me."

"HE WAS EVEN BRAGGING ABOUT HOW HE HIT THE GIRL"

Fatma Banu Çoban continued her speech as follows:

"They took me to the police. Later, the police took me to the ambulance. While waiting by the ambulance, the gentleman sent his wife to Kırıkkale. He himself was bragging in the concert area, saying, 'How I hit that girl.'

If my cousin hadn't seen him talking like that, we might not have even found the person. Melih Ünlüer was claiming that he never saw or knew us, and was denying the incident even though my bloodstain was on him.

I also filed a complaint against his wife. The lady, on the other hand, was saying, 'I am also filing a complaint against them, they assaulted me too.' If I assaulted you, why didn't you go to the hospital and get a medical report for assault?"

DISMISSED FROM HIS POST

Stating that she will have to undergo surgery again in 5 months, Çoban could not hold back her tears. On the other hand, it was learned that Keskin Youth Branch President Melih Ünlüer was dismissed from his post following the incident.
