Arrest request for CHP council member who demanded money by making threats on behalf of a criminal organization
CHP Council member and lawyer Hülya Şimşek has been detained for sending messages and calling an individual to threaten them and demand money on behalf of the 'Şapkalılar' criminal organization. Şimşek has been referred to court with a request for her arrest.
The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a detention warrant for Republican People's Party (CHP) Council member and lawyer Hülya Şimşek, who allegedly sent messages and called an individual named S.Ç. to threaten them and demand money on behalf of the 'Şapkalılar' criminal organization. Following the decision, Şimşek was apprehended and taken into custody. After processing at the police station, Şimşek was referred to the duty magistrate with a request for her arrest.
