Asset seizure measures lifted for Enver and Feridun Geçgel in fund investigation

Within the scope of fund investigations conducted regarding transactions in capital markets in Istanbul, it has been decided to lift the asset seizure measures applied to Astor Enerji AŞ partners Enver Geçgel and Feridun Geçgel.

In the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the re-evaluation of the evidence in the file, notifications from the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF), the scope of capital shares, and the limits of corporate authority in the actions subject to the investigation were taken into account.

An obligation has been imposed to establish a notification procedure for unusual changes in the assets of natural persons and companies liable for property within the scope of the investigation, and to obtain the opinion of our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to prevent collusive transactions.

— Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office letter

On the other hand, it was learned that Feridun and Enver Geçgel made a total payment of 5 billion TL to the voluntary restitution account created within the SDIF.
