It has emerged that Emre Köroğlu, who wounded a police officer in the Selçuk district of Konya, has 33 prior criminal records. It was reported that he had been arrested and imprisoned twice, and in the last 9 months, he had been involved in 10 crimes, including 2 counts of 'robbery,' for which he was detained and subsequently released.

In the incident that occurred yesterday in the Selçuklu district of Konya, medical teams were dispatched to an address accompanied by police following a report that someone was having a nervous breakdown at home. Police officer Mehmet Topuz, who went to the house upon the report, was wounded by the attacker Emre Köroğlu with 7 stab wounds to his back.

Topuz and another police officer drew their service weapons and neutralized the attacker by shooting him. The wounded officer, Topuz, was taken to Meram Faculty of Medicine Hospital by ambulance, while the attacker was taken to Konya City Hospital.

It was learned that the health condition of police officer Mehmet Topuz, who underwent surgery, is improving. It was stated that the attacker, Emre Köroğlu, has been intubated.

It was determined that the attacker, Emre Köroğlu, has 33 records for crimes such as 'auto theft,' 'assault,' 'drug use,' and 'plunder,' and that he had been arrested twice and released after spending some time in prison.
