Barış Yarkadaş reacts to court's convention ruling! 'The judge postponing the case...'

The lawsuit filed for the annulment of the CHP's 38th ordinary and 21st extraordinary conventions was heard today at the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance.

Announcing its interim decision, the court rejected the request for the precautionary removal of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, as well as the members of the Party Assembly (PM) and the Central Executive Board (MYK), and postponed the next hearing to October 24.

YARKADAŞ REACTS TO COURT DECISION

The decision drew a reaction from former CHP deputy Barış Yarkadaş, known for his closeness to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

Speaking on TGRT Haber, which is close to the government, Yarkadaş stated, "The judge postponing the case has cast a shadow over justice and the judiciary."

'A VERY WRONG DECISION'

Yarkadaş spoke as follows regarding the court's decision:

"It is a very wrong decision, very wrong. It is a decision that eliminates legal certainty.

'HE SHOULD HAVE POSTPONED IT TO AN EARLIER DATE'

First of all, it is not right for this hearing to be postponed again and again. If the court was going to postpone it, it could have set an earlier date. It could have set it for Friday or Monday.

For the judge to postpone a case that occupies Turkey's agenda for nearly two months has, in a sense, cast a shadow over the seriousness of this case. The judge postponing the case has cast a shadow over justice and the judiciary. The judge should have made a decision today."
