Breaking News: Operation at Bolu Municipality! 3 people detained

A search was conducted at the municipal building as part of an investigation into Bolu Municipality.

Gendarmerie teams arrived at the municipality in the early hours of the morning and carried out inspections inside the building.

It was learned that the search is being conducted as part of an ongoing investigation.

Within the scope of the investigation, 3 people were detained.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

As part of an "extortion" investigation into Bolu Municipality, detention warrants had been issued for 13 people, including Mayor Tanju Özcan.

In line with the investigation conducted by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out by Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams, and a total of 13 people, including Özcan, were detained.

Within the scope of the investigation, the Bolu Criminal Court of Peace had ruled for the arrest of Mayor Tanju Özcan and Deputy Mayor Süleyman Can on charges of "extortion."

For Bolu Municipal Council Member Ali Sarıyıldız, who was referred to the court with a request for arrest, it was decided to impose house arrest for a period of 4 months.
