Cash payment era ends at BELTUR
As of January 1, 2025, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is ending cash payments at BELTUR establishments and social facilities. Payments will be made via credit card, debit card, and Istanbulkart. Additionally, a 10 percent cash-back campaign will be implemented for Istanbulkart users.
No service fees or card usage charges will be requested for payments made with Istanbulkart. With this new practice, it is aimed for citizens to carry out their payment transactions more quickly and easily.

Furthermore, a 10 percent cash-back campaign will be implemented for payments made with Istanbulkart at BELTUR establishments. This campaign aims to encourage card usage by offering an additional advantage to Istanbulkart users.
DIGITAL PAYMENT ERA
This new practice by the IMM is considered an important step taken toward expanding digital payment methods and reducing the use of cash. Citizens will both save time and have a more secure payment experience by paying with credit cards, debit cards, and Istanbulkart.
