CHP files complaint against prosecutors who prepared the IMM indictment: 'It is clear from this that it is a setup'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made allegations regarding secret witnesses in the IMM case during his party's rally in Sultanbeyli. Özel claimed, "There were initially three secret witnesses. They have increased their number to 15.

Now, they have taken the statements that Çınar made months ago and made 'İlke' say them. A new secret witness named İlke. It is clear from this that it is a lie. It is clear from this that it is a setup," he said.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a statement regarding the claim that the secret witness "Çınar" in the IMM file had attempted suicide at the courthouse some time ago, stating that the person in the video shared by CHP's Murat Emir regarding the said allegation was not the secret witness.

In the Chief Prosecutor's Office statement, regarding Özel's claims that "Now they have taken the statements that Çınar made months ago and made İlke say them," it was stated, "It is clearly understood that the statements made are disinformation, as the testimony date of the witness codenamed 'İlke' is 18/11/2024, and the testimony date of the witness codenamed 'Çınar' is 21/11/2024, a date very close to the mentioned testimony.",

The Republican People's Party took the aforementioned allegations to the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) today. Carrying the allegations that the statements of the secret witness codenamed 'Meşe' were later processed into the indictment as the testimony of the secret witness codenamed 'İlke' to the HSK, the CHP filed a complaint against the prosecutors who prepared the indictment.
