CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency responds to Gürsel Tekin's 'feces' allegations: They are resorting to strange methods
In a statement regarding the incident alleged to have occurred in the office of Zeki Şen, a member of Gürsel Tekin's trustee team, at the CHP Chairman's Working Office in Sarıyer, the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency stated, "They are resorting to strange methods to get attention."
TGRT Haber Ankara Representative Fatih Atik claimed that unidentified individuals secretly entered the office of Zeki Şen, a member of the trustee committee, at the former CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency building in Sarıyer and defecated there.
Atik alleged that the act in question was committed by party members and that the police have initiated proceedings.
Gürsel Tekin, who made a statement on the matter, said, "I am the most patient person in the world, but we have reached the last drop of our patience."
The response given by the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency to the allegations in question is as follows:
The statement, which noted that "a section of our former provincial building, which is used as our Chairman's Working Office, has been occupied for some time by a group of three people who only recognize themselves," included the following:
"We would like to share the following concrete facts to ensure the public is correctly informed:
These individuals have had some rooms in our provincial building opened with a locksmith and others by breaking the locks.
The keys to the rooms they occupy are only in their possession.
They have not allowed cleaning or renovations to be carried out in the building and have prevented it with the help of the police.
It is impossible for anyone other than the names they have determined to enter the room.
In other words, whatever happens in the room they work in is their own responsibility.
Our presidential candidate is a captive, our mayors are captives, and our comrades are resisting in dungeons. Our people are struggling with poverty, our youth are anxious about the future, and retirees are trying to survive. We hope that the performances of these individuals, which have now become absurd, will end as soon as possible, and we advise them to leave the building and find themselves another occupation. The CHP is a serious party, and politics is a serious business."
