Citizen in Edirne goes to vote with her dog
In Edirne, a citizen named Nebahat Bilgin went to the polls with her dog. Speaking after casting her vote, Bilgin said, "My dog is 7 years old, and we came to cast our vote together. We come like this in every election."
Voting has begun across Turkey for the March 31 Local Elections.
Nebahat Bilgin, a resident of Edirne, cast her vote with her dog "Bambi".
Bilgin arrived at the Kurtuluş Primary School, where she was set to vote, with her 7-year-old female Chihuahua.
The 74-year-old Bilgin, who handed her dog over to poll workers while entering the voting booth, stated that she does not leave her dog behind when she goes out.
Wishing for the elections to be beneficial, Bilgin said, "My dog is 7 years old, and we came to cast our vote together. We come like this in every election."
