Çorum Mayor Aşgın rejects request for Manifest concert: 'As long as we are here, no Manifest girl can enter Çorum'
Çorum Mayor Halil İbrahim Aşgın responded harshly to a request from children for a Manifest concert.
Çorum Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın has become a topic of discussion due to his response to a request for a concert in the city by the music group Manifest, which has recently gained popularity among young people.
Consisting of six female members and formed in 2025 through the Big5 Turkey competition, Manifest was brought up during the "City Meetings" program held in Çorum at the request of children.
Aşgın, who met with citizens in the Akkent neighborhood, was told by children attending the program that they wanted their favorite group to perform a concert in Çorum.
According to reports in the local press, Aşgın responded to this request by saying, "As long as we are here, no Manifest girl can enter Çorum."
