It has been reported that as a result of the efforts carried out by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), ISIS member Uğur Bahadır was captured in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region and brought to Turkey.
It was determined that Bahadır, who had traveled from Turkey to the region in question, used the codename "Abdullah" within the organization and undertook various duties in camps belonging to ISIS.
It was learned that in his testimony, Bahadır provided information regarding his connection to Özgür Altun, codenamed "Abu Yasir Al Turki," who is said to have organized the passage of organization members from Turkey to the Afghanistan-Pakistan line. It was also reported that Bahadır made statements regarding the training he received within the organization, the tasks assigned to him, and the activities of ISIS in the region.
It was stated that Uğur Bahadır traveled from Turkey to the Afghanistan-Pakistan region in 2024 to join ISIS, and that the person who directed him to the organization was Özgür Altun, who was captured at the beginning of 2025.
It was noted that Bahadır also acted in the same region with Ahmet Kazancı, codenamed "Abu Ubaydah / Abu İbrahim," who was captured at the beginning of 2026 and is said to have operated in the media unit of ISIS. It was reported that through the efforts of MIT, the organization's attack plans targeting Turkey were thwarted, and information regarding recruitment activities and operational plans was obtained.
