Photographer Bennu Gerede, who was taken into custody as part of an investigation into 'obscenity' charges, has been released under judicial control.
A judicial control decision has been issued regarding photographer Bennu Gerede as part of an "obscenity" investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation was launched based on Gerede's display of a necklace she described as a "vibrator" during a program broadcast on social media, as well as her statements during the program. Following the instructions of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Gerede was taken into custody.
It was stated that Gerede, who was detained by Istanbul Police Department teams, was referred to the Bakırköy Courthouse after her statement procedures at the police station were completed.
After giving her statement to the prosecutor, Gerede was brought before a judge and released with a judicial control measure consisting of a "travel ban."
