Diyarbakır Bar Association President evaluates Narin murder case

Diyarbakır Bar Association President Nahit Eren, commenting on the autopsy report prepared regarding the murder of Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found 19 days after she was killed, emphasized that the struggle to "identify the perpetrator or perpetrators" will continue.

Nahit Eren shared details regarding the autopsy report of Narin Güran, who 'went missing' on August 21 in the Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later, on his X account.

In his statement, Eren noted that Narin's death occurred on August 21 and used the following expressions:

"The findings included in the report by the Istanbul Council of Forensic Medicine regarding the murder of Narin and the manner of her death are as follows:

1. With the current data, it is not possible to make an assessment as to whether the child was subjected to sexual assault,

2. With the current data, there is no medical evidence that the child died from poisoning,

3. Death occurred on 21.08.2024,

4- It was determined that the trauma causing the amputation of the leg below the left knee occurred post-mortem due to animal activity,

5- The autopsy revealed that some teeth in the upper and lower jaws were missing, some were found inside a bag, and the remaining teeth were easily detached from their sockets,

6- The cause of death was stated as "asphyxiation due to the closing of the mouth and nose and pressure applied to the neck."

Drawing attention to the autopsy process, Eren stated, "The statements we made from time to time to correct misconceptions in the public eye based on our observations have been confirmed by these reports. We will continue to meticulously follow the investigation process to ensure that true justice is served, and that the perpetrator or perpetrators are identified, tried, and punished."
