New claim in Narin Güran murder: 'Family hid her death', 'Women were reciting Yasin'
As the investigation into the murder of Narin Güran continues, a new claim has emerged. A security official alleged that Narin was dead and that the family had known about it from the very beginning.
The fate of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, broke the heart of Turkey. The little girl's body was found 19 days later in the Eğertutmaz Stream, 3 km away from the village.
The investigation continues into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream 19 days after she went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar, Diyarbakır.
A new claim has emerged regarding the murder. A security official alleged that the family knew Narin was dead from the very beginning. The official stated, "While we were searching for Narin, they knew she was dead. Because the women gathered in front of Narin's house were reciting the Yasin (surah)."
12 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN THE INVESTIGATION
12 people have been arrested in the investigation into the murder. However, the statements given are still contradictory. This increasingly raises the possibility that there is a major secret hidden by the entire village behind the incident that led to Narin's death. Information leaked from the autopsy report indicates that Narin was strangled to death.
According to Felat Bozaslan from DW Turkish, the only place with any activity in Tavşantepe Village, located approximately 15 kilometers from Diyarbakır, is currently the site of Narin's grave. The area around Narin's grave is filled with items such as toys, school bags, and school uniforms.
The critical point of the murder is the barn of the house belonging to Narin's family. The investigation teams estimate that the murder was committed there. The location in question is still being guarded with great meticulousness by Gendarmerie teams.
Journalist Felat Bozaslan also wrote about important details from his interview with a high-level security official involved in the investigation team.
The Gendarmerie teams who went to the village upon the report that Narin was missing suspected Narin's family from the very beginning. For this reason, the official said that those taken into custody were offered a witness protection program with the guarantee that their safety would be protected. However, no one in the village accepted this offer.
"WHILE WE WERE SEARCHING FOR NARIN, THEY KNEW SHE WAS DEAD"
Another claim by the high-level security official is that everyone in the village knew from the beginning that Narin had been murdered. The official in question also said the following regarding this matter: "While we were searching for Narin, they knew she was dead. The family persistently hid this. We realized that Narin was no longer alive before we reached the body. Because the women gathered in front of Narin's house were reciting the Yasin."
