Explosion at a factory in Kırklareli: 2 workers lost their lives during welding work

Two workers lost their lives in an explosion that occurred at a beverage production factory operating in the Kırklareli Organized Industrial Zone.

According to the report by Anadolu Agency, the incident took place while welding work was being performed on a concentration tank in the garden of the factory located on 2nd Avenue of the Organized Industrial Zone. The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined.

Upon notification, AFAD, UMKE, gendarmerie, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. One of the workers affected by the explosion died at the scene.

The other worker, who was seriously injured, was taken to Kırklareli Training and Research Hospital by medical teams. Despite the interventions performed at the hospital, the worker could not be saved.

The public prosecutor conducted an examination at the site where the explosion occurred. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
