Alarming 'Erzurum earthquake' statement from Naci Görür! 'Faults are compressed'
Following a 4.5-magnitude earthquake in the Pasinler district of Erzurum, geologist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made significant remarks regarding the compression in the region. Stating that "Eastern Anatolia is being compressed," Görür emphasized that the February 6 earthquakes may have triggered this situation.
According to the statement made by AFAD, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 and a depth of 14.81 kilometers occurred in the Pasinler district of Erzurum at 04:30.
Following the earthquake, it was reported in a post on AFAD's social media account that there were no negative reports at this time.

Evaluating the earthquake on his social media account, Earth Scientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür used the following expressions:
"A shallow 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in Taşlıyurt-Pasinler, Erzurum. It is on the strike-slip Karayazı Fault Zone. Eastern Anatolia is being compressed. The February 6 earthquakes must have had an extra effect on this."
