Good news for job seekers from IMM: 96 free transit passes annually

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has launched the 'Transportation Support Project' for job seekers. Within the scope of the project, job seekers in Istanbul are provided with a total of 96 free transit passes to be used on public transportation vehicles throughout the year. 2,704 Istanbul residents applied for the Transportation Support Project in 15 days. Applications are made through IMM Regional Employment Offices and the web portal.

Under the project, transportation support is provided to those who are looking for work through the IMM Regional Employment Office and are experiencing financial difficulties. Those who meet the relevant conditions are entitled to a total of 96 free passes, consisting of 32 passes per month, three times a year. In the last 15 days, 2,704 people who attended job interviews at the Regional Employment Office and met the necessary conditions applied for transportation support.

WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION CONDITIONS?

Candidates who wish to benefit from the IMM Transportation Support must have attended a job interview at an IMM Regional Employment Office. It is important that they obtain a barcoded "Social Security Registration Document" via e-Government on the day of the interview. Candidates who can apply are required to be between the ages of 16-65. Istanbul job seekers can make their applications by visiting the nearest IMM Regional Employment Office, or they can apply online via the https://bio.ibb.istanbul web portal and easily follow job postings. In addition, they can reach career counselors by calling 444 8 333 to get information about participating in job interviews suitable for their knowledge, skills, and competencies. For candidates who attend an interview at the IMM Regional Employment Office and meet the conditions for the transportation support application, free transit credits containing a QR code are sent to their registered mobile phones via SMS.
