Hayko Cepkin's testimony in the 'Ahbaplar Criminal Organization' investigation revealed: 'I do not trust him with financial matters'

The testimony given by artist Hayko Cepkin as part of the "Ahbaplar Criminal Organization" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been revealed. In his testimony, Cepkin stated that he has known Haluk Levent for many years but has had no financial dealings with him.

Cepkin said that throughout his music career, he had previously performed a duet with Haluk Levent in a music video, but other than that, he had no acquaintance or contact with the executives of the Ahbap Association. Stating that he did not make any donations to the association during or before the earthquake period, Cepkin noted that he did not make any social media posts directing anyone to donate either.

"I have known Haluk Levent for many years and I do not trust him with financial matters. Because I do not trust him, I have made posts about him on Twitter."

Cepkin expressed that he trusts the Ahbap Association independently of Haluk Levent, but that he cannot make sense of Levent serving as the association's president. Stating that he has heard the association helps those in need, Cepkin said he has personally seen that some sick children have received treatment.

In his testimony, Cepkin conveyed that Haluk Levent described himself as the "visible face" of the association, and noted that he was told the association's business and operations were conducted independently of Levent.

Cepkin emphasized that he was not among the celebrities who collected aid and donations by phone during the earthquake disaster. He said his only contact with the Ahbap Association was a request for assistance for a children's event organized as part of April 23 celebrations at a flight school in Fethiye.

Cepkin explained that they requested support from the association because they were careful to ensure that the children attending the event were orphans or children in need of assistance. The artist stated that he has no other relationship with the Ahbap Association.

"Haluk Levent had similar actions years ago as well. This situation was already known by many people. This is all I have to say."
