Adem Soytekin, who was arrested as part of the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on March 19 into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) on charges of corruption and terrorism, had benefited from effective remorse.
According to the report by the pro-government newspaper Sabah, Soytekin provided a 40-page statement to the prosecutor's office on June 16.
