In an accident that occurred in the morning hours at the entrance of the Hilal town in the Uludere district of Şırnak, a passenger bus collided with a semi-truck whose license plate could not be identified. The bus, which lost control due to the impact, crashed into a house by the roadside.
Upon notification, AFAD, fire department, medical, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. According to initial reports, 15 people, including the driver, were injured in the accident.
The bus driver, Sabri Yumak, who was severely injured, could not be saved despite the intervention of doctors at the hospital where he was taken. The 14 injured passengers were transported to hospitals in Kurtalan and Şırnak by ambulances after receiving initial treatment from medical teams.
While security measures were taken in the area due to the accident, controlled passage was provided on the road after the teams completed their work. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
