House arrest decision for social media influencer Elif Uluğ!
Social media influencer Elif Uluğ, who was detained during the protests against Ekrem İmamoğlu in Şişli, has been released by the court on the condition of house arrest.
Police intervened against students who gathered in front of a shopping mall in Şişli to protest the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, and a large number of people were detained.
It has been learned that Elif Uluğ, who was among those detained and became a trending topic on social media with a video she filmed regarding the protest, has been released. The court issued a house arrest decision for Uluğ.
While it is stated that some of the young people who faced a police blockade during the protests are still in custody, lawyers stated that they are following the process closely.
