TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel announced that the last body recovered from the shipwreck that occurred off the coast of Kyrenia on August 30 belongs to Mehmet Bayhan.
The identity of the last body recovered from the shipwreck that occurred off the coast of Kyrenia in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on August 30 has been determined.
TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel announced that the body belongs to Mehmet Bayhan.
Üstel stated that the relevant institutions are continuing their efforts to reach the other missing persons and to end the uncertainty experienced by the families.
Sharing a message of condolence for Bayhan in his statement, Üstel wished, “May God have mercy on Mehmet Bayhan, and I offer my condolences to his family, relatives, and loved ones.”
The death toll has risen to 15 in the operations carried out following the accident.
It was reported that authorities are continuing search efforts to reach the 13 people reported missing.
