Investigation following profession disclosure on ‘Konuşanlar’: Uzbek woman referred to center for deportation proceedings

An investigation was launched by the Istanbul Police into an Uzbek national who made headlines after disclosing her profession on the “Konuşanlar” program, hosted by Hasan Can Kaya. The investigation determined that while the woman held a residence permit in Turkey, she did not possess a work permit.

According to a report by Son TV, teams from the Istanbul Police Department’s Anti-Migrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch examined the program footage during virtual patrol activities.

It was noted that the woman, who introduced herself as “Melike” on the program, stated that she worked as a “Professional and VIP Massage Therapist.” Subsequent research identified the woman's real name as Mokhichekhra Bakhtiyorovna, aged 38.

Checks conducted by police teams determined that Bakhtiyorovna had held a residence permit in Turkey since 2021 but did not have a work permit.

According to the report, police teams identified the woman's address in Üsküdar and conducted an operation. Bakhtiyorovna was taken into custody and brought to the Istanbul Provincial Police Department for processing.

Following the completion of the procedures, deportation proceedings were initiated against Bakhtiyorovna. It was reported that the woman was handed over to the Arnavutköy Removal Center.
