İsmail Saymaz shares the latest behind-the-scenes on ministers: That name has strengthened their position

Halktv.com.tr columnist İsmail Saymaz was a guest on the "Yeni Bir Sabah" program hosted by İsmail Küçükkaya on Halk TV, where he evaluated President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's signals of a Cabinet reshuffle and the names currently on the agenda.

Saymaz detailed the allegations regarding Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, and Minister of Transport Abdülkadir Uraloğlu.

'YERLİKAYA'S DISMISSAL HAS BEEN POSTPONED'

Saymaz stated that Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya being perceived as a "bureaucrat" has drawn reactions within the AKP and that he is criticized for failing to display a political stance.

He noted that Yerlikaya stands out as one of the first names expected to be dismissed among the "executive ministers," particularly due to rising public order issues.

Saymaz explained that following the photo Yerlikaya took with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, a "consensus" was reached on this matter and the dismissal decision was postponed, using the following words:

"There have been some developments recently, and it is said that Ali Yerlikaya was going to go, but a consensus was found and the situation was postponed. If one of the executive ministers is to be dismissed, it could be Ali Yerlikaya."

'URALOĞLU'S NAME HAS NOT BEEN MENTIONED FOR A LONG TIME'

Saymaz stated that Minister of Transport Abdülkadir Uraloğlu was also one of the names frequently mentioned in Cabinet reshuffle rumors, but that these discussions have decreased recently.

Expressing that Uraloğlu drew attention by wiping the railing in a place where President Erdoğan was present during an event, Saymaz said, "His name was mentioned at the beginning, but I haven't heard anything about Uraloğlu for a long time now."

YUSUF TEKİN HAS STRENGTHENED HIS POSITION

The political statements made by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin recently have been welcomed within the AKP. Saymaz said that despite Tekin's statements being criticized by the opposition, they found a positive echo in the AKP base, which strengthened the minister's position.

"The AKP wants ministers who display a political stance. Yusuf Tekin's statements created great satisfaction in the AKP base. For this reason, I can say that the Minister of National Education has cemented his position."

'BUREAUCRAT MINISTERS ARE CRITICIZED'

Saymaz emphasized that criticisms against ministers with bureaucratic backgrounds continue within the AKP. Stating that the criticism that bureaucrat ministers cannot display a political identity is frequently voiced, Saymaz expressed that the AKP base wants ministers who display more of a political stance."
