İYİ Party reacts to Öcalan with 'Villa with Garden for Sale' video: 'Murderer of 50 thousand sons of the homeland'
The İYİ Party has reacted to allegations that a house was built for PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan on İmralı Island with a video shared on its social media account. The video features images depicting Öcalan drinking fruit juice by a pool, contrasted with footage of the homes of martyrs draped with Turkish flags.
The İYİ Party has released a striking video on its social media account regarding allegations that a house was built for Öcalan on İmralı.
“Villa with Garden for Sale: Sea view, 250 square meters of indoor space, 500 square meters of garden...” the video, shared with this note, shows images depicting Öcalan drinking fruit juice by a pool alongside footage of the homes of martyrs draped with Turkish flags.
The video states, “Villa with garden for sale. Requirements to own the villa of your dreams: To have been sentenced to death, to be the founder of a terrorist organization, to be the murderer of 50 thousand sons of the homeland. Guarantors, you know who.”
Allegations that a 250-square-meter residence was being built for Öcalan on İmralı Island had previously come to the agenda, and Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek had denied the claims.
However, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated in his remarks to journalist Nagehan Alçı that a house had indeed been built for Öcalan on İmralı. Bahçeli's statement brought the debate back to the agenda following the previous denial.
