Leadership changes in İş Bankası Group senior management
Leadership changes have been made in the senior management of Türkiye İş Bankası Group. Hakan Aran has become the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Şişecam, which represents Turkey globally as a multinational company. It has also been decided that Deputy Chief Executive H. Cahit Çınar will be appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Türkiye İş Bankası, effective September 1, 2026, following the necessary notifications to and approvals from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK).
In accordance with the Board of Directors' decision taken in line with the Group's second-century vision and strategy, leadership changes have been implemented within the senior management of Türkiye İş Bankası Group to increase the Group's competitiveness and efficiency in banking, finance, and industry, and to best leverage the opportunities of the artificial intelligence era.
As part of these changes, Hakan Aran, who has served as the CEO of İş Bankası since 2021 and led the Bank's entry into its second century through transformations and investments in areas ranging from next-generation subsidiaries to the entrepreneurship ecosystem, organizational and service models, branch structures, platform banking, and AI and technology infrastructure, has become the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Şişecam, one of the world's top five glass and chemical producers.
With this new appointment, Hakan Aran will lead the future growth strategy of Şişecam, which has a history spanning over 90 years, has become a global player with production in four continents and 13 countries, and delivers its products to customers in more than 150 countries.
Adnan Bali, who has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Türkiye İş Bankası since 2021, will continue to serve in this role.
It has been decided that H. Cahit Çınar, a Deputy Chief Executive who has held significant responsibilities within the Bank for many years, will be appointed as the CEO of Türkiye İş Bankası, effective September 1, 2026, following the necessary notifications to and approvals from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency.
Throughout his 35-year banking career, 25 years of which he spent as an executive, Çınar has made significant contributions to the Bank in areas including domestic and international banking, capital markets, project finance, corporate/commercial/retail loan allocation, credit strategy, loan monitoring and follow-up, subsidiary management, law, tax, construction, and real estate management. Having played a key role in the Bank's transformation during his tenure as CEO of İşbank AG, to which he was appointed in 2016, Çınar also served as the General Manager of Trakya Yatırım Holding to support the Group's goal of more strategic and focused growth.

İş Bankası CEO Hakan Aran has stepped down from his position. İş Bankası Deputy CEO Hasan Cahit Çınar has been appointed to replace Aran. Çınar will begin his duties on September 1, following the approval of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency.
Born in Ankara in 1967, Çınar graduated from the Department of International Relations at Ankara University's Faculty of Political Sciences. Çınar continued his education at Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich between 1989 and 1990, and began his career in 1991 as an Assistant Economist in the Economic Research Department of Türkiye İş Bankası.
Hasan Cahit Çınar, who became an Assistant Inspector at the Board of Inspectors in 1992 and an Assistant Manager at the Commercial Loan Allocation Department in 2001, was assigned to İşbank Germany/Frankfurt in 2004.
Appointed as Regional Manager in the Commercial Loan Allocation Department in 2007, Manager of the Commercial Loan Allocation Department in 2010, and Manager of the Güneşli Corporate Branch in 2013, Çınar was appointed as the CEO of İşbank AG on March 25, 2016.
Çınar, who was appointed as Deputy CEO of İş Bankası on October 5, 2018, took a role at the İş Bankası subsidiary Trakya Yatırım Holding in 2023 and was reappointed as Deputy CEO of İş Bankası on April 30, 2025.
