Long-standing ban at Turkish Airlines lifted: Here is the new rule

Turkish Airlines (THY) has made changes to the dress code, appearance, and personal grooming standards for its flight crews. With the new regulation, the long-standing beard ban for male flight personnel has been lifted under specific conditions.

According to AirportHaber, the new implementation guide, which covers uniform usage and personal grooming principles at THY, has redefined the standards regarding the appearance of cabin and cockpit crews.

According to the guide, male flight personnel will be able to grow beards, but this will be subject to corporate appearance and grooming requirements. The beard length must not exceed 15 millimeters and must appear neat and well-groomed.

Under the new rules, natural and well-groomed stubble, balanced beard styles used with a mustache, and neatly trimmed short goatee styles are considered among the options suitable for the corporate image. It was stated that boundaries have been clarified for practices that could negatively affect the corporate image or flight safety.
