Major drug operation in Beylikdüzü: 62 kilograms and 900 grams of narcotics seized
In an operation conducted in Istanbul's Beylikdüzü district, a total of 62 kilograms and 900 grams of narcotics were seized, and one person was taken into custody in connection with the incident.
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch, acting in coordination with the Intelligence Branch, carried out a comprehensive operation aimed at preventing the production and trafficking of drugs. Focusing on the identification and apprehension of suspects as part of their investigation, the teams conducted simultaneous raids yesterday on two separate addresses and one vehicle in Beylikdüzü.
During the operation, a suspect identified as D.K. was taken into custody, and a detailed search of the addresses and the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a total of 62 kilograms and 900 grams of narcotics, consisting of 34 kilograms and 850 grams of heroin and 28 kilograms and 50 grams of methamphetamine.
It was reported that the suspect will be referred to the courthouse on charges of "manufacturing and trafficking of drugs or stimulants" following their interrogation at the police station. The Istanbul police stated that the fight against drugs will continue with determination throughout the city.
