Mansur Yavaş poll that will dominate the agenda after Erdoğan meeting: He received the most support from that party!
The results of a poll conducted regarding Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who met with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Palace, have drawn attention. In the study in question, participants were asked about Yavaş's political future as well as a potential Erdoğan-Yavaş race.
It had drawn attention that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş did not attend the reception on September 9, the anniversary of the CHP's founding, and instead held a meeting with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
While the surprise meeting at the Palace stirred political circles during a period when numerous mayors were transferring to the AKP, the allegations raised about Yavaş became a central topic of discussion.
Following the allegations, Yavaş issued a statement, noting that the sole agenda of the meeting was Ankara.
Regarding claims that he would change parties, Yavaş stated, "It is out of the question for me to adopt an attitude that would hurt, offend, or disappoint the people who love me, trust me, and have stood by me for years. Furthermore, I would like it to be known that both Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Mr. Özgür Özel were informed before my meeting with the President."
Following the surprise meeting that has remained on the political agenda, the Ankara Research and Consultancy (ANK-AR) company conducted a notable poll regarding Mansur Yavaş's political future.
In the poll, participants were asked the question, "What do you think Mansur Yavaş should do from now on?"
The results of the poll were announced as follows:
Join a new party: 46.7 percent
Join the AKP or MHP: 20 percent
Remain independent: 13.4 percent
Continue in the CHP: 9.8 percent
No opinion: 10 percent
In the same study, participants were also asked, "Who would you vote for if Yavaş and Erdoğan were presidential candidates?"
The responses were as follows:
Mansur Yavaş: 47.7 percent
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: 32.1 percent
In the results listed according to the participants' voting preferences, it was observed that Yavaş received the most support from Zafer Party voters.
