Melikgazi Municipality Chief of Staff dies after falling from bicycle

Mustafa Tümgüç, the Chief of Staff for Melikgazi Municipality, has died in a bicycle accident in the Melikgazi district of Kayseri.

In the incident that occurred on Mehmet Özhaseki Boulevard, Mustafa Tümgüç, who was descending from the Erciyes Ski Center by bicycle for exercise, lost his balance for reasons yet to be determined and fell to the ground. Following reports from bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area for Tümgüç, who was seriously injured in the accident.

While police teams took security measures in the area, medical teams determined that Mustafa Tümgüç had passed away at the scene. Following the crime scene investigation, Tümgüç's body was taken to the hospital morgue.

MAYOR ARRIVED AT THE SCENE

It was learned that Mustafa Özbayraktar, the Director of Veterinary Affairs for Melikgazi Municipality, was accompanying Mustafa Tümgüç on another bicycle during his descent from the Erciyes Ski Center. Melikgazi Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu also arrived at the scene upon receiving news of the accident.

An investigation into the incident has been launched.
