New development regarding the suspect who punched journalist Emre Kaplan after the derby!

In the 10th week of the Süper Lig, Galatasaray defeated Beşiktaş 2-1 on their home turf.

Following the match, sports reporter Emre Kaplan, who was following Galatasaray players, was assaulted by Sezgin Gülnar, the bodyguard of Beşiktaş President Hasan Arat.

Kaplan, who was subjected to a punch attack and suffered bleeding on his face, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

SUSPECT REFERRED TO COURTHOUSE

Upon Kaplan filing a complaint against the attacker, teams from the Istanbul Police Department launched an investigation and detained Sezgin Gülnar.

Having completed his procedures at the police station, Sezgin Gülnar was referred to judicial authorities to be processed for the crime of 'causing disorder in sports areas and damaging facilities.'

On the other hand, in a post he made on his social media account during the match, Emre Kaplan had stated, "Beşiktaş had responded with insults at the level of President and 2nd President to Dursun Özbek, who came to their opening in a spirit of courtesy. Galatasaray closed the subject by increasing its points to 28. Continuing to consolidate the fans with a free result that does not give points."

It was alleged that Hasan Arat's bodyguard, Sezgin Gülnar, attacked Kaplan due to this post.
