Yalova Governor Hülya Kaya announced that a one-day break has been given to education in the city.
Due to the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred off the coast of Silivri and was also felt in Yalova, a one-day break has been given to education in Yalova.
Regarding the matter, Yalova Governor Hülya Kaya stated in a post on social media, "No damage has been detected in our schools during the inspections carried out in our province.
However, taking into account the concerns of our students and parents, education has been suspended for one day in all official and private educational institutions on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Furthermore, disabled personnel, pregnant women, mothers with children under the age of 10, and disabled veterans working in public institutions and organizations will be considered on administrative leave for one day without the need for any further procedure," she stated.
