Parking fees in Şişli increased by over 100 percent

The second session of the Şişli Municipal Council's December meetings was held in the council hall at the municipal building, chaired by the 1st Deputy Speaker of the Council, Nurettin Tan.

During the meeting, as part of the "Fee Tariffs to be Applied in 2025" proposal, a hike of up to 137.5 percent for parking fees in facilities operated by the municipality was discussed.

PARKING FEE FOR UP TO 1 HOUR INCREASED TO 130 LIRA

In the proposal, it was suggested that the parking fee for up to 1 hour at the Topağacı Indoor Parking Lot be increased from 55 lira to 130 lira with a 136.36 percent hike, the 1-2 hour parking fee from 80 lira to 190 lira with a 137.5 percent hike, the 2-4 hour parking fee from 110 lira to 250 lira with a 127.27 percent hike, and the 4-6 hour parking fee from 140 lira to 320 lira with a 128.57 percent hike.

The proposal, which requested that the newly determined 6-8 hour tier parking fee be 400 lira, also sought to increase the 8-12 hour parking fee from 200 lira to 460 lira with a 130 percent hike, and the 12-24 hour parking fee from 250 lira to 580 lira with a 132 percent hike.

SUBSCRIPTION PARKING FEE INCREASED FROM 2 THOUSAND 200 LIRA TO 5 THOUSAND LIRA

It was requested that the subscription parking fee for automobiles be increased from 2 thousand 200 lira to 5 thousand lira with a 127.27 percent hike, and the subscription parking fee for off-road, SUV, pickup, and panel van vehicles be increased from 2 thousand 600 lira to 6 thousand lira with a 130.76 percent hike.

For the Derviş Eroğlu Indoor Parking Lot, Osmanbey Indoor Parking Lot, Lalaşahin Outdoor Parking Lot, and Maçka Marriage Office Parking Lot, it was suggested that the parking fee for up to 1 hour be increased from 55 lira to 115 lira, the 1-2 hour parking fee from 80 lira to 170 lira, the 2-4 hour parking fee from 110 lira to 230 lira, and the 4-6 hour parking fee from 140 lira to 290 lira.

In the proposal, which requested that the newly determined 6-8 hour tier parking fee for these parking lots be 350 lira, it was also sought to increase the 8-12 hour parking fee from 200 lira to 410 lira, and the 12-24 hour parking fee from 250 lira to 520 lira.

In the vote held after the speeches, the proposal was accepted by majority vote, despite the "no" vote from the AKP group.
