Person dies by suicide after jumping onto tracks at Marmaray
A person died by suicide after jumping onto the tracks at the Feneryolu Marmaray station while trains were in operation.
The incident occurred at the Marmaray Feneryolu station at approximately 16:30. According to the information obtained, an individual whose identity has not yet been learned approached the platform while trains were in operation.
STRUCK BY TRAIN
The individual, who suddenly jumped onto the tracks, was struck by the train. The train driver, noticing the situation, notified the teams. Upon the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the police took security measures at the Marmaray station, train services were suspended. Medical teams determined that the individual had lost their life.
While the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue, train services returned to normal after a while.
