President Erdoğan: Turkish democracy will attain the main opposition it deserves in the coming period

President Erdoğan reacted sharply to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's promise to rename the Ministry of Family and Social Services to the "Ministry of Women and Gender Equality."

In a statement on his social media account, addressing the main opposition leader Özel, Erdoğan said, "If the CHP Chairman truly wants to be of service to the nation and to women, he should stop fussing over ministry names," while delivering a message about a new opposition.

A MESSAGE OF 'NULLITY' FROM ERDOĞAN?

In his post, President Erdoğan, who stated that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel should follow the advice of his predecessor Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, included the following remarks:

"If the CHP Chairman truly wants to be of service to the nation and to women, he should stop fussing over ministry names. Instead, he should concern himself with the corruption, bribery, extortion, and harassment scandals that are enveloping his party like a cancer cell.

If he insists on establishing a structure, provided he can find sufficient staff, he should urgently establish a 'purification from corruption presidency' within his party. By doing so, he would both follow his predecessor Kılıçdaroğlu's advice on purification and provide a service to the citizens. But unfortunately, this country's main opposition party cannot seem to break free from the influence of criminal organizations established for profit, and cannot seem to save itself.

To tell the truth, we feel sorrow on behalf of our country's politics for the wretched state to which the CHP, which boasts of being 'the party founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal,' has been reduced under its current management.

We believe that in the coming period, Turkish democracy will hopefully attain a main opposition with the maturity, quality, and vision it deserves."
