With the amendment published in the Official Gazette, the land requirement for structures such as bungalows and vineyard houses on agricultural land has been reorganized.
The regulation amendment concerning structures such as bungalows and vineyard houses to be built on agricultural land has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force.
With the regulation made in the Regulation on the Protection and Use of Agricultural Lands, the land size requirement included in the criteria for agricultural structures has been changed. Accordingly, the phrase "5 hectares" mentioned in the relevant article has been revised to "2 hectares".
The regulation is significant, especially regarding bungalow-style structures and vineyard houses, which have recently been on the agenda for demolition. With the new provision, the criteria regarding the size of land on which such structures can be evaluated have been updated.
It was stated in the regulation that applications for agricultural structures and non-agricultural use made to Ministry units before the date the amendment entered into force will be evaluated within the scope of the previous regulation provisions.
In the regulation dated April 4, 2026, the conditions regarding structures that can be built on special product and marginal agricultural lands were regulated in the section titled vineyard houses; within this scope, it was stipulated that a structure with a floor area of 30 square meters could be built.
