Şamil Tayyar reacts to condolence tents: DEM, in particular, must be brought under control

AKP member Şamil Tayyar reacted in a social media post to the recent images of commemorations and condolence visits for members of terrorist organizations.

Stating that the images were extremely disturbing, Tayyar noted that he no longer shares such footage for this reason.

"Reactions are growing like an avalanche"

Tayyar argued that the establishment of condolence tents for deceased terrorists, where they are referred to as "martyrs," is causing growing public discomfort.

Claiming that this situation is one of the biggest obstacles to the social expansion of the "Terror-Free Turkey" project, Tayyar said that the reactions are "growing like an avalanche."

The AKP member pointed out that these events could have political consequences, stating, "Of course, there will be heavy political consequences as well."

"The state is also uncomfortable"

Şamil Tayyar claimed that he had received information that the state is also uncomfortable regarding the condolence tents.

Stating that warnings have been issued against the setting up of such tents and that he was informed they would no longer be permitted, Tayyar added, "I hope this is true."

"The nerve endings of society should not be toyed with"

Emphasizing that the process referred to as "Terror-Free Turkey" must not be harmed, Tayyar made the following assessment:

"If one does not want the process to be infected, the nerve endings of society should not be toyed with."

At the end of his post, Tayyar also reacted to the DEM Party, arguing that DEM, in particular, "must be brought under control."
