Scandal by AKP members during pension negotiations in the Turkish Parliament! MHP's Celal Adan reacts: 'It is immoral'
During the parliamentary session on the bill to raise the lowest pension to a poverty wage of 20,000 TL, AKP members submitted a roll call slip on behalf of a deputy who was not present in the General Assembly. As CHP and IYI Party deputies walked toward the podium, MHP Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Celal Adan reacted, saying, "Whoever brought it when they were not here is immoral. Isn't it shameful?"
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly convened for the Bill on Amendments to Certain Laws and Decree-Law No. 375, which includes raising the lowest pension to a poverty wage of 20,000 TL.
While the first part of the bill covered articles 1 through 8, the deliberations proceeded in stages.
SCANDAL BY AKP MEMBERS
Before the discussion of the 7th article, which introduces regulations for pensions, the CHP requested a roll call in the General Assembly. Upon the request, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Celal Adan initiated the roll call.
It was revealed that a slip was submitted on behalf of an AKP deputy who was not present in the General Assembly during the roll call. CHP and IYI Party deputies walked to the podium to object to the situation. Following this tension, the session was adjourned for 10 minutes.
MHP'S ADAN: IT IS IMMORAL, ISN'T IT SHAMEFUL?
After the break, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Celal Adan took the floor and reacted to the events with harsh words. Adan stated, "Whoever brought it when they were not here is immoral. Isn't it shameful? Sending a paper here when they are not present... I want to express that I am deeply offended. This disrespect does not suit the TBMM."
